And let's not forget the coffee – a crucial aspect of any café. Reviews highlight the excellence of their brews, from the velvety smooth Cappuccino to the bold Long Black. Mark Matthews, a regular, described it as “the real deal” and proclaimed it the best coffee experience, further suggesting that a slice of the café’s decadent cake is a must-try. It’s evident that every cup is crafted with care, embodying the essence of a true French café.

The ambiance at Le Pruneau exudes warmth and friendliness, making it a perfect retreat for both casual gatherings and intimate conversations. Patrons express their appreciation for the fast service and pleasant atmosphere, with Frances Rodger noting that the “Bagdad eggs are amazing” and the “maple bacon rivals what some have experienced in Canada.” It’s these personal touches and genuine hospitality that elevate your dining experience here.

However, not all reviews are without constructive feedback. Chris D expressed a desire for scrambled eggs to be creamier and for enhanced presentation – insights that underscore the café's commitment to continuously evolving and improving its offerings. The nod to creativity in menu items like the pulled pork with kimchi reveals the exciting yet experimental nature of their cuisine. Mitch Menghi’s note is a reminder that while the café excels in many areas, there is always room to perfect the balance of flavors.

In sum, Le Pruneau is more than just a café; it’s an experience where passion for food and coffee come together. Stop by today at +61 2 6765 3666 and prepare to be enchanted by flavors that linger long after your last bite and sips that invite you to come back for more. The staff were very friendly and it was a good dining experience overall as the coffee was also very nice. Given the price of the food, when add-ons are included, I think a couple of improvements could be made to take it to the next level. For example, the scrambled eggs could be creamier and the presentation is a little basic.

We had breakfast here on a week day. It was fast service and good. Nice food, the Bagdad eggs are amazing!! The maple bacon was as good as some I've had in Canada. Sorry the pictures are of half eaten but they were so good.

Great good and great service and atmosphere. This is a French and Japanese inspired country restaurant. We came for breakfast I had the pulled pork and my wife had the poached eggs and pumpkin rostti. Overall the food was ok, my dish however was not that great I don't believe adding kimchi to pulled pork with egg omlette works that well. Other than that coffees were great and atmosphere was great The service was to be commended.

This place is the real deal. Best coffee and the genuine article in every sense of the French word. Fresh produce too. Cake, Oh my! I almost demanded to see the chef and half expected Ratatouille to appear.
